Business Situation
In order to efficiently centralize the order process to manage documents, integrate various departments and manage tasks assigned to researchers, the client needed a customizable collaboration tool, complete with document management and workflow solution.
The business process begins with the orders placed via Email, Phone or CSR will fill-up orders worksheet. The order is then reviewed by operations manager and assigned to researchers in various departments.
Each client has templates for each type of order and again based on type of client which is to be shared among different researchers and departments. And the final output needs to be filed in respective client folders for later retrieval and future reference.
On order fulfillment all the research document is sent to the client. And finally automated Invoice has to be generated and sent to the client.
Solution
Dhruv Technology Solution (DTS) provided a solution using Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, as well as using Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007 to create forms that can be hosted inside of Microsoft Office system client applications. The forms could also be accessed via web (For outside customers) as well as internal users.
