Business Situation
Client is Hawaii’s largest water company. It services these customers by providing bottled water services including on site water coolers and deliveries. Client wanted to improve its online e-commerce capability. Although customers can order online, there is no proper “backend” to the web interface. Instead manual processes fill the order and then update an admittedly outdated accounting system, Libra by Visual Accounting. Data from inside this application is not readily available by any modern data base connection technology.

Solution
Dhruv Technology Solution (DTS) a proposed solution which is broken down into three sections reflecting the database transformation, the customer facing website, and the internal portal for Invoice Management.
Both Website and internal portal were hosted using MS Share Point Services 3.0 and secured by SSL certificate.

A Microsoft .Net e-commerce application integrated with SharePoint was used for online payment system and Invoices from the legacy accounting system will be imported into Share point repository and facility is given to search and do inquiry about invoices. Flexible search options are given for the invoice inquiries.
